El Rocoto- Peruvian Restaurant Cerritos, CA

Pretty attractive waitresses! Family oriented but the lighting gives it a romantic feel. This is the first impression that you get from this traditional Peruvian Dining. The location somewhat hides this one of a kind spot. It’s easily overlooked by Kabuki, Baja Fresh, Home Town Buffet or even Goldilocks and not to mention the up and coming "O" Restaurant in the South & Gridley (SNG) plaza…

We both have been here a couple of times but once together. The Paella Criolla de pollo is great!! And so is the Tallarin Verde con Pollo. You can really taste the authenticity in the food. he price is pretty fair average of 10-14 per plate. The portions are generous as the service. One thing that will still out is the fast service and the flavors that jump right at you. There was a big plus; servers filled our waters right away. We would definitely come here again. Let us know what you think about this one!

Belinda's Aunthentic Mexican Food - La Palma CA

There are a very few places where you can actually get really good authentic Mexican food... and this is definitely one of them. Belinda's is tuck in a small strip mall plaza next to Del Taco. There is a Thai and Chinese Restaurant in the same business plaza. I would not reccomend taking your first date here. But a family now thats okay. When you go in you order first at the counter. You'll notice the homemade juices. We forgot what they served but looks fresh. Of course Mark has to order Horchata (Cinnamon Rice Drink). We got Chicken Enchilada with Mole Sauce & Chicken Chile Verde. After we pay for our order we look for a place to sit. They give you a basket of chips and hot salsa. They do have a jukebox so you can do the salsa as you eat your salsa!
Once we got our found it was on! It was fresh and as if it was made by your own abuela! Of course we switched it up and tried each others plate. Mark's Chicken Chile Verde was a little spicy and the Chicken Enchilada with the mole sauce was just right!
Not many places serve Mexican mole and we finally found one that is local! Definitely aunthentic and made our tastebuds tingle. The prices average from 5-10 per item depending if you are ordering single items vs. plates. Located on La Palma & Orangethorpe near the 91 freeway. Thumbs up for Belinda!!!

Pho Hoa - Westminister CA

Mickey D's Of Vietnamese...

If you have never been to a Vietnamese Restaurant let us tell you what to expect. One it's usually crowded during the prime meal times, it's not the cleanist place, and they always give you small cups of water or you have to pay for water but the food is BOMB! For the love that we have for Vietnamese food we never thought we would encounter a Vietnamese restaurant we absolutely would be so dissapointed with.

First, it took longer than normal to get our food. We were surprised that the food took longer than usual than what Vietnamese food normally takes. What we love best with the Vietnamese food is the freshness. So we were upset that our food did not look so appealing. One thing about the independent "Mom and Pops" establishments is that they do not over supply on their inventory. So you know they buy their produce every couple of days. The noodles in their vermicelli dishes were soggy, the veggies look like they were frozen and thawed out, and the food was just distasteful. One positive thing about it was though was that their portions were big.

Pricing... over the last few years Vietnamese delicacy has jumped up in price so this place has competetive prices but be prepared to pay a little more for the fresh egg roll. It was around $2.50 for one roll.

This establishment is a franchise and they have one in many different places even the Philippines. So its kind of like going to Taco Bell for Mexican food or us Filipinos it's like Jollibee... so thumbs down on this one for sure!!!
